Meet the Team

Here is a look at the Fujimigaoka Global English Team. We are lucky to have such a dynamic and dedicated group of professionals who really enjoy helping students to realize their dreams for the future. Please feel free to ask them anything and don't be afraid to have conversations with them whenever you can. They love TALKING! 

Tov Sensei  is from California in the United States. He is the leader of the foreign English section at Fujimigaoka. He is also the head of the Extensive Reading and the Returnee Advanced Language Arts Programs. In addition, he teaches third-year High School Returnee Advanced Language Arts, several English Expression classes, and is an advisor for the Model United Nations Club (MUN). He has been a teacher at Fujimigaoka since 2012. 

HOBBIES -  Soccer, snowboarding, reading, and jogging

Jessica Sensei is from Washington state in the United States. Jessica is in charge of the Jr. High Listening and Speaking program as well as the go-to person for Eiken help. She currently teaches Jr. High Returnee Integrated Language Arts, Extensive Reading, Jr. High Listening and Speaking, and second-year high school Advanced Language Arts. She has been a teacher at Fujimigaoka since 2017.

Mr. Giordano is from the United States. He currently teaches Jr. High Listening and Speaking, English Expression, and Academic English. He is also an advisor for the Model United Nations Club. He has been a teacher at Fujimigaoka since 2018.

HOBBIES - Reading, listening to music, studying history and science

Mr. Marino is from Chicago in the United States. He has been a teacher in Japan since 1997 and joined Fujimigaoka in 2021. He teaches first-year High School Returnee Advanced Language Arts, High School English Expression, Junior High Returnee Integrated Language Arts, and Junior High Listening and Speaking. He is also an advisor for the ESS Club.

HOBBIES - Music, etymology,  and cycling

Rob Sensei  is from Queensland in Australia. He teaches various English Expression classes, various Listening & Speaking classes, Ko-1 Literature Appreciation, and is an advisor for the ESS club. He has been a teacher at Fujimigaoka since 2023. 

HOBBIES - Board and video games.

​Ocean Sensei  is from London in the United Kingdom. She is an English Assistant Language teacher at Fujimigaoka and helps in classes by running games and activities so students can have fun whilst learning a new language. Ocean sensei has been a teacher at Fujimigaoka since September 2023.

HOBBIES  – film photography, reading books, and writing poetry

​Steffan Sensei is from Cardiff in Wales. He is an English Assistant Language teacher, motivating pupils through games, quizzes and speaking activities. He has been a teacher at Fujimigaoka since September 2023.
